I found a hard back edition of Decline and Fall of the American Programmer at a used book store today for $1. I read it back in 97 from the library. Thankfully, I read it after I read Rise and Resurrection of the American Programmer and Death March. The doom and gloom would have been hard to stomach if I hadn’t read Resurrection first.
